We’re excited to officially welcome Grzegorz Chojnowski (previously at EMBL Hamburg) and Andrei Papkou (previously at the University of Zurich) as the newest members of the ALLOX team! Both recently joined our senior R&D team as computational scientists, bringing knowledge and skills that are helping to take our platform to the next level.

Grzegorz, a physicist turned computational structural biologist is: “leveraging ALLOX's valuable experimental data to fuel AI in structural biology”. He comes with deep expertise in methods for both experimental and AI-based protein structure prediction and is leading the development of tools to unlock new opportunities for allosteric drug discovery.

Andrei, a computational biologist with experience in molecular evolution of proteins and machine learning, is “fascinated by what emerges when experimental and computational biology meet”. He is streamlining that connection at ALLOX, developing solutions that enhance experimental throughput and ensure seamless alignment between computational and lab operations.

A few weeks ago we took advantage of the great weather here in Barcelona to head out for a day of sailing and a meal together to celebrate the growing team – one of the many benefits of being headquartered in this beautiful city!
